It was a spectacular turn out at the bottom of the road when the Tour de France hit town.For those who havnt had the unique experience of watching this event before, its an exciting time-The tension builds as a huge parade of dressed vehicles passes, kids and adults alike compete for freebies jettisoned into the crowd.
After this nothing for at least half an hour until the lead rider arrives,then it seems to all be over in minutes riders stream past, people cheer and cavort in an ever increasing cresendo then its a quick dash home to watch the finish on telly.
