Skiing

Make the most of 265km of slopes on varied terrain

Quite simply, the linked resorts Les Carroz, Samoens, Morillon and Flaine offer fantastic ski and snowboard conditions to accommodate all skill levels. With dedicated, cordoned beginner areas, a 5km green run through the trees, a 10 mile blue run off the back of Flaine, extremely challenging blacks and scintillatingly superb off-piste, all linked with modern, fast lifts, the Grand Massif ski area has been reported in the Daily Telegraph as “…the most under-rated ski area in the Alps” If you like we can assess your level and provide advice on the adapted slopes and runs for you!

Of course there are many more activities to be enjoyed in the snow!

• Snowshoe: through a wide range of wonderfull wintery tracks
• Fatbike: discover mountain biking… on snow!
• Skidoo: ride the snow!
• Sledding: race down a specially reserved sledding slope very close to the village center
• Dog sled:Experience the life of a musher, thanks to huskies who love their job!
• Ice skating: disco on ice!
• Swimming: in and outdoor heated pool whilst its snowing? Why not?

Please note: Activties such as the skidoo and fatbike are only available in to do in late afternoon after closure of the ski slopes.

Mountain biking

Get a lift up with the Kedeuze telecabine. Soak in the views at the top as you build up the courage to ride down the most exciting tracks, with different levels for everyone! If you’re a beginner why not initiate yourself to mountain biking by using the practice facilities within the village or going along some simple tracks through the lovely forest walks, around the village.

What else?

Paragliding: Soar through the skies over some beautiful mountain views! Mountaincart: Race down the mountain!…in a kart? Mountain walks: A gentle walk through the forest and streams, or a long “randonnée” to the top of the mountain! Follow the signs! Swimming: Great family friendly swimming facilities, with three heated outdoor swimming pools, including slides! you also have the option to enjoy an indoor spa, everything you need to relax.
